PORTUMNA

Portumna is a small market town in the south-east of County Galway. The town has an enviable natural location,
nestled as it
is at the point where the River Shannon enters Lough Derg.

Noted for its Castle, Abbey, Workhouse Museum and wonderful Forest Park (which borders Lough Derg),
it is a paradise for enthusiasts of water sports, trail walking and other activities.

The town also boasts a high-quality 18-hole parkland golf course and other amenities such as
the Emerald Star Line cruiser
base and the nearby Pallas Karting track.

A fine range of shops, pubs and restaurants are also available.

So, if you are joining us at Shorelines please enjoy Portumna – eat, stay and support our ever generous sponsors.
