School Art Exhibition including Artists in Residence

​As well as the annual exhibition of artwork from the current students of PCS, two past students will exhibit their work, discuss their process and engage with visitors and students. Both graduated in Art with a particular interest in ceramics.

Jessica Canning is a local 23-year old from the outskirts of Portumna who recently graduated in Ceramic Art and Design. Planning a Masters in Art and Design Education, she is taking a year out to set up her own studio and also to travel.

Emma O’Toole is a ceramic artist who graduated from GMIT in 2015 with an Honours Degree in fine art, specialising in ceramics. A member of Clay Galway, a collaboration of ceramic artists she is the chairperson of the Forge Clay studio, the only ceramic studio in Galway City.​
