Hi, I'm Tarsila Kruse and I’m a CHILDREN’S BOOK ILLUSTRATOR making PICTUREBOOKS & ARTWORK for all sorts of FUN PROJECTS

I was born in Brazil and have been living in Ireland for well over a decade(!) I have a degree in English and another in Multimedia Design and before moving to the Emerald Isle I used to be a teacher. (As an illustrator I get to incorporate a bit of my “teacher” side when I visit libraries & schools and when I facilitate workshops at events too!).

I love creating sketches using pencil + paper & prefer to render my artwork digitally, either using a graphic’s tablet or the iPad.

I live with my husband, our son and two happy dogs, Pixel and Tag, in a house with a bright yellow door in the fair city of Dublin.

I also write children’s books reviews for Inis Magazine, collect picturebooks, and enjoy learning new languages. My favourite season is autumn and my favourite ice-cream flavour is pistachio.
