The Esposito Quartet are playing together since 2010. The quartet's name honours Michele Esposito, pianist and composer, who for forty years from 1888 was the initiator for much of the chamber music making in Dublin through the establishment of The Royal Dublin Society concert series.

The quartet recently premiered and recorded Laurence Crane’s string quartet no. 2 which was
described in the Financial Times as ‘performed with calm poise’.

The quartet have premiered works by Gavin Bryars, Kevin Volans, Sebastian Adams and Donnacha Dennehy.

Their concerts have been regularly recorded for Lyric FM and they have performed on BBC Radio 3.
