Karen Underwood, known as Cork’s Jazz diva from Chicago,
arrives after sellout shows at Cork Opera House in 2024. A panelist on the Today Show she is a moving singer and storyteller. She has performed at a host of venues including the National Concert Hall, Vicar Street, The Mermaid, Pavilion, Everyman, Gaiety and Marlay Park.

The Music of Nina Simone is a refection of the life of the iconic star. Karen says, “ I never heard of Nina Simone until I moved to Cork. When I heard her voice, I bought her autobiography. I went to see her in concert. I had to share her music. We had so much in common.”

If you like the music of Nina Simone then this show is for you.
