Barbara Kennedy Annual Writing Awards 2019

Join the shortlisted pupils from many local primary schools who entered in the 2019 poetry project. With the theme for 2019 of Going Green,  students from 4th and 5th classes were invited to enter. With an overall trophy for one student and an overall school award of a writer’s workshop, this provides a creative opportunity to encourage the budding writers in our local communities.

Judge: Geraldine Mitchell ‘s recent collection of poems, Mountains for Breakfast, was published in 2017. Her previous collections are
World Without Maps and Of Birds and Bones (Arlen House).
