The glow of an Autumn sun welcomed the 4th Shorelines Arts Festival to the town of Portumna. With several windows decorated for the Festival and silhouettes designed by Brian Murray displayed on St Brendan's St, the town was full of anticipation. At the official opening of the Festival, Mr.
Launch of Shorelines Arts Festival - YOU'RE Invited!
Shorelines Arts Festival will be officially launched on Thursday 22nd Sept. 2011 at 16:00 in the VEC Buildings by Michael D. Higgins, poet, patron of the arts, and Labour Party Presidential Candidate.

New Launch Time for Shorelines Arts Festival Portumna
Due to committments with the presidential election race, Michael D. Higgins will not be able to perform the opening of the Shorelines Arts Festival at the pre-specified time on Thursday 22nd Sept.
He has, however, committed to opening the festival at 4:00 on the same day, Thursday 22nd September at the recently refurbished VEC buildings in Portumna.
Change of Venues for Declan O'Rourke and Delia Murphy
Due to the recent fire at Shannon Oaks Hotel, Declan O'Rourke's concert and the Delia Murphy play will now not be performed there.
We have secured alternative venues for both events now.

Special Offer Accommodation at Portumna House for Shorelines Arts Festival
Portumna House B+B have announced that there are dropping the price of accommodation at their premises for the duration of the Arts Festival.
The cost for people staying for a two night stay or more will be only €24.50 pps per night. The normal price is €40 pps per night, so this is a huge saving.

Shorelines Arts Festival 2011 Update
Portumna Arts Group would like to thank each and every individual who
contributed to Shorelines Arts Festival through FundIt. Our target was reached
thanks to the generosity of the public who appreciate the importance of the Arts
in our lives. From the single 5euro pledge to larger anonymous amounts, the
Shorelines Arts Festival committee are now in a healthier position to produce a
Festival to suit all ages, to make Portumna the place to be in on Sept 22nd-25th.
